Jackson Chao,President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Chao brings over 25 years of world-class operations, engineering, and risk management expertise to lead the strategic direction of NxEdge. Prior to founding NxEdge, Mr. Chao held engineering positions at KLA-Tencor, followed by a 10-year tenure at Boeing where he served as Director of Operations for the Boeing 777 program, responsible for over $9 billion in annual aircraft deliveries, then as Vice President of Commercial Aviation Services. In 2000, Mr. Chao joined DCM, a leading venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, as Entrepreneur in Residence. Mr. Chao received his BSEE from UC Berkeley, MSEE from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was Leaders For Manufacturing Fellow, and MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
David Mills, VP Sales
Mr. Mills brings over 25 years combined experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Engineered Materials Sales. He currently leads NxEdge's Sales Team. Prior to joining NxEdge, Mr. Mills held business development, technical sales, and engineering positions at Sulzer Metco, Praxair Surface Technologies, TEFEN USA, and AlliedSignal. Most recently, he oversaw business development for strategic accounts at HC Starck, a leading refractory metal manufacturer, serving various industrial markets worldwide. Mr. Mills received his BS in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University
Ryan Sutton, Director of Manufacturing
Mr. Sutton brings over 20 years of manufacturing excellence that allows him to execute the strategic vision of NxEdge. As Director of Manufacturing, Mr. Sutton manages all aspects of the P&L across all departments while improving quality and maximizing profitability. During his tenure with NxEdge, Mr. Sutton has held positions including Machinist, Engineering Technician, Production Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. Mr. Sutton also brings the combined experience of two successful entrepreneurial ventures with Precise Innovations LLC and Sigma Manufacturing LLC as well as a 7-year tenure with AceCo Precision Manufacturing. Mr. Sutton currently holds a position on the TAC Board of Advisors for the Machine Tool Technologies program at the College of Western Idaho (CWI) helping to guide the education of the next generation of industry professionals. Mr. Sutton attended Boise State University majoring in Accounting and Finance
Nicholas Xydas, Director of Engineering & Quality
Dr. Xydas has 14 years of experience with high tech startup companies. As the director of engineering at NxEdge, he guides the R&D/NPI engineering, manufacturing engineering and quality functions. He is also responsible for the continuous improvements efforts for the company. Before NxEdge, Dr. Xydas worked at Microvision developing retinal scanning displays for consumer and military applications. He received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of NYU, his MS and PhD degrees in mechanical design and robotics from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. Dr. Xydas has published research papers in the areas of robotics and manufacturing
Doug Mayer, Controller
Mr. Mayer brings over 30 years combined experience in Corporate and Manufacturing financial management. He currently leads NxEdge’s Financial Team. Prior to joining NxEdge, Mr. Mayer held various financial positions with H.J. Heinz for 14 years including Manufacturing Controller and General Manger of Profit Planning. During his tenure, Doug was instrumental in the consolidation of six formulated companies onto a single computer system. This engagement led to the development of the new platform to facilitate the projects. These efforts eventually resulted in H.J. Heinz and later Del Monte Foods moving to this platform company-wide. Doug later joined Miicor Consulting, the company that was engaged in the new computer system to provide professional services to its customers and provide financial guidance as its CFO for 10 years. Doug is a CPA and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah Eccles School of Business
