Machinist

 

NxEdge, Inc. is looking for an experienced Mill Machinist to join our Boise operation that specializes in engineered materials and coating solutions for industrial thin-film, semiconductor and solar energy applications worldwide. 

 

Responsibilities:
•    Tend one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specifications on production basis
•    Lift work piece manually or using hoist and secures work piece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device
•    Start machine, engage feed, and observe operation
•    Inspect and measure machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using instruments, such as preset comparator, fixed gauges, calipers, micrometer
•    May move machine controls and guides to adjust machine
•    May file, sand, or shape machined parts, using hand tools and power tools
•    May clean machined parts, using degreasing tank or solvent and rags

Requirements:
•    Technical degree (AA) or vocational school equivalent
•    Four to six (4-6) years machine shop experience required.
•    CNC Mill/Programming experience required
•    Possess knowledge of basic math skills and computer skills
•    Possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as positive utilization of interpersonal skills to work in a team environment
•    Be highly organized with job procedures and filing of documents, and demonstrate flexibility with potentially changing work flow

Manufacturing Technician

NxEdge, Inc. is looking for a manufacturing technician to join our Boise operation that specializes in engineered materials and coating solutions for industrial thin-film, semiconductor and solar energy applications worldwide. 

 

Responsibilities:
•    Read/Interpret/Execute department procedures for surface finishing, equipment set-up, and incoming/outgoing visual inspections to eliminate all surface defects
•    Perform measurement of parts as outlined by customer requirements
•    Perform diagnostic tests on various equipment within the department
•    Perform visual and dimensional inspections prior to the part leaving the department
Requirements:
•    High School Diploma/GED equivalent
•    Must be technically and mechanically minded
•    Must have a keen ability to see visual defect and have manual/finger dexterity
•    Must have knowledge of basic math skills and computer skills
•    Must have strong oral and written communication skills, as well as positive utilization of interpersonal skills to work in a team environment
•    Be highly organized with job procedures and filing of documents, and demonstrate flexibility with potentially changing work flow

Anodizing Technician

NxEdge, a Boise based start-up, is looking for an anodizing technician to join their team.  The position of Anodizing Technician will perform duties in a skilled area of work that involves anodizing components.  Work is of a technical nature and is very manual as the job requires lifting and bending. If you are looking to learn a trade and want to work for a company where to personally contribute and feel like you make a different than this is the company for you!


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Monitor test tanks; temperature control and concentration levels
•    Perform tests on coatings used on the components
•    Follow written procedures and processes for coating applications
•    Create and maintain a safe work environment
•    Adhere to all company safety and OSHA standards
Qualifications:
•    Knowledge of basic math 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
•    Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts
•    High School diploma or GED equivalent required
•    Must be able to lift 50 pounds by self in a safe manner
•    Prior experience working with anodizing or chemicals is a plus, but not required

Medical, Dental and Vision
Medical and dental coverage is provided by the company through Blue Cross of Idaho and Guardian insurance.  Full-time employees are eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Short Term Disability 
Short-term disability insurance, provided by the company, pays a 60 percent salary benefit after 7 days of disability for 90 days. Full-time employees are eligible the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Long Term Disability
Long-term disability insurance, provided by the company, pays a 60 percent salary benefit after 90 days of disability. Full-time employees are eligible the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) may be funded up to $5,000 per year for daycare and $2,500 per year for medical expenses. FSAs are funded with pre-tax earnings, reducing taxable income.  FSA funds may be used to pay medical premiums spouse and/or dependents. Full-time employees are eligible the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

401(k) Retirement Plan - Fidelity Investments
Employees may elect to contribute between 1 percent and 90 percent of their annual salary on a pre-tax basis, up to the annual IRS limit ($17,500).  Employees are eligible to participate the first of the month after their hire date..

Paid Holidays
NxEdge recognizes 11 holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, the day before Christmas, Christmas Day, and one floating site holiday, determined each calendar year. Regular, full-time employees are eligible for paid holidays. Part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible on a prorated basis.
